Francis Ford Coppola
17-year-old Bennie (Alden Ehrenreich) arrives in Argentina, fresh faced and naïve, in search of his older brother, Tetro,(Vincent Gallo) who has been missing for more than a decade, and had sworn never to see any of his family again after the difficulties he faced with their domineering father Carlo (Klaus Maria Brandauer), an acclaimed symphony conductor. When Bennie finds his brother he is not the idolized, wonderful, talented brother of his youth, but the opposite. Rebuffed by his brother, Bennie seeks solace from Tetro's girlfriend Miranda (Maribel Verdú), and staying at their small bohemian apartment, Bennie finds Tetro's hidden writing, an unfinished play. Bennie becomes convinced if the play is finished Tetro will accept the family into his life again but once it is done it reveals a secret he could never have imagined. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
